Anyone recognize this logo? [More:]The sticker on the back of this truck in my condo complex has been torturing me for months. Another one popped up the other day.

I thought it might be a Fox Racing logo--it kinda has that dirt bike racing vibe to it. But it's not a Fox logo. I skimmed through some other dirt biking brands with no luck. Continuing with the alt-sports hunch, I checked through a couple skateboarding websites and couldn't find anything.

To make this guessing game even more complex, the other window sticker I've seen is on an otherwise generic imported compact car--and it's in pink.

I've never run into the people associated with these cars, nor do I know which condo they live in, so direct inquiry is out. I've asked a few friends and they've been no help.
What part of the country are you in, mullacc? It makes me think of a hockey team, for some reason.

I was going to guess hockey, too. It looks sport affiliated.

My roommate says if it's a sports/team logo, it's probably minor league, FWIW.

Could it be in the shape of a state of the US???

exactly what I was thinking hadjiboy - my first thought was Florida, but it would have to be a flipped (left to right) version. And the star would be around Tallahassee. But a flipped map for a logo is stupid, so it probably isn't a Florida thing.

I'm in Phoenix, AZ.

I don't think it's any local pro sports team. But, as a Coyotes season ticket holder (our NHL team), I'd be really embarrassed if it were a hockey team logo. :)

Also, I'd find it pretty odd for hockey team to produce a pink version of their logo. I know the Yankees produce hats in all different colors besides their official colors, but I think they're one of the only teams with the brand-awareness to do that. This makes me think the logo in question is that of a sports-related apparel or gear brand.

I was thinking more like a minor league hockey team... even *I* would know it if it was NHL. (I think.)

Oh, I know you meant minor league. As a hockey fan, I'd be embarrassed if a local minor league team was completely unknown to me.

Anyway, our local minor league hockey teams are the Phoenix Roadrunners and the Arizona Sundogs (not Phoenix, but close). No luck there.

No luck so far with other local pro sports teams either, but I may be missing some obscure sports.

Could it be a high-school logo?

I'd be really embarrassed to admit I was a Coyotes season ticket holder (I know, that applies more to the early part of the season and they're doing better now, but I couldn't resist ;-)

Famous Stars and Straps

It's an apparel/accessories company started by Travis Barker, best known as the drummer for blink-182. It looks like it's affiliated (supported/owned?) by DC Shoes. And judging by the pics on their website they seem to go after the skate, surf, dirt-biking, BMX and ultimate fighting crowd. So I guess my intuition was mostly right. Still, I'm kinda disappointed.

(I figured it out by looking through brands at the PacSun website--that's a mall store targeting teens into this stuff)

mullacc, pretty damn good detective work for a fire truck!

Lest there be confusion, I should have said "firetruck".

Good detective work indeed.

There is a woman in my neighborhood that has a pink vanity plate at the front of her vehicle. From a distance it looked like a pink Superman logo, and I thought that was so neat. Come to find out it's a pink Roxy plate! How disappointing.

That would be _SO_ neat!

Is there a better minor league hockey logo than the classic Macon Whoopee fig leaf (as seen here)?

mullacc: I'll see your Georges Laraque and raise you a Brian Campbell.

mullacc, sorry to hear about your Coyotes. Poor Curtis Joseph. Has he been playing much ]the sieve[ ¿
I really do wish they'd do better. Unfortunately in Canada we get too many Canadian teams on TV ]no NHL specialty channel for me[.

I have played against a team wearing pink bubblegum jerseys. What a sight. These hulking giants in pink jerseys. No one laughed at them, believe me, very manly, indeed, Sir./

A friend Jeff Halmos who specializes in logos. Check out his blogspot "Giving logos the business", where he reviews logos.
I was going to ask him about the logo, but you're all quicker. Good detective work indeed.

mullacc, detective, did you ask the driver about the logo then¿ How'djaguess¿

aliceshoe: I looked at a list of brands sold by PacSun, a store in the mall that sells "alternative" brands.
