Mixsion Impossible →[More:] Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make a CD-length mix built around a theme. The files should all be mp3s (no DRM), zipped in a zero-compression archive to be uploaded to YSI/SUI with a link you will post to the appropriate thread next Friday.

The theme for this week is: The Perfect Driving mix. Assemble a road trip mix for other bunnies to d/l and burn to CD. Good luck. And remember, you have one week.

Future themes under consideration: Winter songs, angry love songs, toothachingly sweet pop, girl rockers, The Best Songs You've Never Heard (you referring to the listener, not the mixologist).

Ummmm... I'm new to this kind of thing and have no idea what "zipped in a zero-compression archive" means. I do have a song in mind, though.

Another (probably dumb) question.... Songs I've "ripped" from my CDs are all in wma format.... is there a way to either convert them to mp3 or rip them into mp3 from the original CDs, using Winamp (free version) or Windows MediaPlayer? (I'm no good wiht teh teknolidgy sumtimes.)

If you have a Windows XP machine, you can select the songs you want, right click on one of them, and click "send to". It'll give you a submenu. Just select "compressed folder". It'll make a .zip file for you, which you can upload.
