Check out K-Fed's skillz as he freestyles for this Nationwide Insurance commercial.
I'm impressed he found work.

But if he's getting free insurance out of the deal, some Nationwide exec may live to regret the decision.

I heard the commercial will have kfed in a rap video that turns out to be a daydream he's having while flippin burgers. Can't seem to find a story about it though.

Because it's mildly entertaining.

Really, why did you post that comment?

Wedge, do you really think I'm some kind of goddamn shill? The dude's a loser and it's just funny to see how lame he is, especially imagining that the best rap he can come up with is "nationwide is on your side," over and over. But maybe the humor was too subtle for you.

no, i didnt watch it... because everytime you click on something like that, some sleezy publicists dribble a few dollops of precum because, hey, their cutesy/lame/"ironic"/outrageous little viral advertisement just got some new eyeballs. mission accomplished!

at the very least, if we're going to suckle from madison avenue's golden teet here at metachat, i guess i would prefer that the site operators get a cut from the ad revenues. that would only seem fair imho.

You exercised your right not to click. Yay! Good for you!

Shouldn't that be the end of the story?

Or is it that you're starting a campaign to personally, single-handedly wipe out viral marketing (which -- because of the way it's crafted -- is simply, fundamentally, going to appeal to a wide audience, many of whom, like most folks here, aren't going to fall for the marketing ploy), or a campaign to at least make sure that all viral marketing anywhere on the internet somehow pays royalties to taz and seanyboy?

Wait, I'm really confused now.

I didn't watch the video, but I will as soon as I have spare time. Just to make a point.

possibly, yes. i asked him a question. he answered my question, and posed his own. i responded. perhaps he will reply again, making a few different points. and then perhaps i, too, will reply to that reply, making other points as well.

yes, i think that would be nice

"The dude's a loser and it's just funny to see how lame he is" Still, that sort of thing is worth seven figures. Not bad work if you can get it.

Sorry. I didn't realize that "really, why did you post this?" was an invitation to a reasoned debate.

My bad. Carry on.
