As punishment for that bad joke, I'm going to repeat a Wendell Anecdote®™ that I know I've told before: A million years ago, I had an accounting job at the company that, at the time, made the Oscars®™, the Golden Globes®™ and other recognizable trophies. I actually ended up in possession of a Golden Globe®™. You see, at that time, the trophy makers were part of a corporation that bought, sold and sometimes held various small manufacturers. And the trophy makers had several samples of their work in a trophy case in the lobby. But then, the corporation combined the trophy maker's offices with those of the manufacturers of Black Magic Potting Soil (I kid you not) and half the lobby and the trophy case was repurposed for a couple more desks. Some of us working there ended up with the trophies 'decorating' our cubicles, and I immediately went for the Golden Globe®™ which served as a paperweight until I quit a year later. Everybody there trusted me way too much, so I took the GG with me when I cleaned out my desk. I had it in a prominent place at home for years until I got into a house-sharing deal with people who I trusted way too much, and it was one of many valuable possessions that disappeared...
