Hey Redvixen, thanks for explaining all that. [More:]Yeah, I’m a huge Bette Davis Fan too, but my all time favourite actress has to be Katherine Hepburn. Lipstick Thespian, you should definitely see anything you can by her too (The Philadelphia Story, and anything by her and Spencer Tracey are not to be missed!).
I too had a bit of a lonely childhood arse_hat, but it’s a shame that I couldn’t fill them up with books like you all did. I did create my own worlds though—with my imagination, but I think that had a lot to do with my getting a minor case of Bipolar Disorder. Oh well, you live and learn.
Specklet—I love your name. More than everybody else’s for some reason. You sound like a Biker Chick (No disrespect) who’ll spit in your face if you mess with her…:)

PS. Just in case I shouldn’t be making new posts all the time, can someone just tell me not too, so that I know you’re supposed to answer in the same thread where you previously posted. The thing is, it’s way down the page, and I don’t know if people are going to click it and read my thanks, or acknowledgements.
Hello!

Yes, in general, it's best just to stay in the thread itself. Start a new thread if you have something new to say to all of us, but if you're just responding to people in the old thread, best to do it there.

And there's a button at the top called "Recent Comments," in which people can see what other members have just posted, so it's generally reasonably easy to see new comments.

But sometimes conversations do fade out a bit... not a bad thing. Just start a new one. :)

Yeah, it really belongs there. People who are following the conversation will check back, or will see it on the Recent Comments page.

Don't worry, this is a friendly place. You'll figure it out. No one will grill you.

Unless you taste good with olive oil.

Oh, so sorry about that—I knew I should’ve asked first and posted later… will do, occhiblu, and mudpuppie:)
Olive oil, hmmmm.

"Unless you taste good with olive oil." But what of sesoning? I suggest we start with rosemary, thyme, garlic, sea salt and coarse ground pepper.

"I too had a bit of a lonely childhood arse_hat" Not really lonely but full of imagination. I was lucky to have a grandmother who had been a teacher and taught me to read by the age of three and gave me a sense of wonder at the world.

You know what I did with my Grandmother—have you seen Muslims pray?? Well, when they bow down in the final part of their prayer, they’re close to the ground, and their backs all of a sudden look like slides, especially when you’re a little tyke, so that’s what I did with my grandmom—slid down her back side whenever she was prostrating in her prayers. But she never got mad; she was just glad we weren’t upto any other mischief I guess:)

Hee. That reminds me of all the photos I've been seeing recently about doing yoga with young kids -- parents say that the toddlers want to know what's going on when the parent is doing yoga, so I've seen various articles suggesting ways to make kids (or sometimes cats!) part of the pose.
