calling jonmc i'll just bet you have an mp3 of "Have I The Right" by the Honeycombs just sitting around somewhere waiting for quonsars ears to devour.
I was hoping he'd have "Maybe I Know" by Leslie Gore laying around, also.

Yep, it's Herman's Hermits.....

alicesshoe, all of your question marks are upside down. You might want to invert your slash key.
posted by mudpuppie 16 January | 18:46
I noticed mudpuppie, *chuckles*, I should be placing them in front of the sentence, officially, para en Espanol.

Don't ask, "Is this what the kids are doing".

]I'm also reversing parenthesis, for the fun of it.[

No, definitely not Herman's Hermits. It was the Honeycombs, produced by the late, great Joe Meek.

Herman's the version I'm familiar with...And the one posted IS Herman. Becha it is. Don't make me name more of Herman's song list. ;)

I didn't know the Honeycombs sung it too. If they did at all. *humph*

Next someone will be asking for Sam The Sham, Wooly Bully.

I love Lesley Gore. She sang Sunshine, lollipops & rainbows. Who's got an MP3 of that little gem?
posted by getoffmylawn 16 January | 19:29
Never mind, I found it. Thanks anyway.
posted by getoffmylawn 16 January | 19:33
It's really easy to find oldies with this search engine.

Oh, I am so selfish sometimes. In case anyone else is interested, scroll down to December 22.

Git your pay pal account then, essexjan./

What, no bets then¿

Let's go. Put your money down on it. I would.
I'm from that era...

Herman's Hermits is the version up there.

I love this song!

(For some reason I always thought the Dave Clark Five sang the song. Oops. I'm wrong!)
posted by sisterhavana 17 January | 02:08
Um... I don't know how to break this to you, alicesshoe, but Herman's Hermits never recorded Have I the Right.
posted by essexjan 17 January | 04:47
I take it back

I was wrong
Way wrong.

The song jogged a time and place in my mind and I was convinced it was HH's.

I stand corrected.

*stands up*
quonsar, I was the people saying it was Herman's Hermits, mistakenly.
*sits down*
