Werewolf (A.K.A Mafia) is an excellent party game I have just discovered thanks to some nice London geeks. Highly recommended -- lots of talking, political intrigue, scheming, and sitting in a circle with your eyes closed making barnyard noises.[More:]

As usual with games, I pretty much suck at it, but still found it very enjoyable. So I thought I'd spread the love in case there's anyone here who hasn't heard of it before.
I've been rather unenthused by the sudden excitable adoption of this by the London scene.

In the finest traditions of Web 2.0 it's a old interaction suddenly hyped up and jumped on by a group of people who are playing nothing more than a glorified version of wink-murder that they picked up at an expensive foreign conference.

Must read less Mefi, remember to be less hateful. Sorry. "Gaming" with geeks is always good fun!

Next thing you'll be telling me that the Easter Bunny isn't real.

Some smart werewolf should figure out a way to play this online.

Oh, wait. Sounds complicated, though; we'd probably never manage it. Some smart werewolf should think of a fast/easy version for ADD bunnies.

Werwolf is good but I rarely get enough people in one place to play - and it's not really suited for playing online.

What's an elephant job? || OK, Portland, we have unfinished business.
