(Mental tangent #1: I was such a fan of Twin Peaks that I bought the issue of Maxim featuring Lara Flynn Boyle, back when she wasn't made from pipe cleaners. It's the only "lad mag" I've ever bought, I think.)

(Mental tangent #2: I also remember--this was when I was in high school, I think? Sophomore year?--when Playboy reprinted old pictures of Denise Crosby, who played Tasha Yar on Star Trek: TNG, in the first season. This happened before Yar was killed off by that creature made out of tar. One of my friends managed to get his hands on a copy of the issue, and I still remember his disappointment--the pictures had a distinctly early-80s style to them.)
