Amelia by Joni Mitchell A gorgeous, string-drenched version from her Travelogue album. Just what's needed to clear the London meetup cobwebs from my head.
I grew up hearing the Court & Spark album over and over again. No, I don't have a point.

Joni Mitchell wouldn't be as irritating to hear if she'd just hit her damn pitches, instead of scooping, slurring, sliding, and generally mangling them quasi-ornamentally. Well tempered, she ain't.

I like this one. I (for one) always hated Jaco Pastorius's (sp) bass parts, as they related to her songs. His playing always sounded like there was another song going on in that track and I never really enjoyed it.

Thank you.

paulsc - sometimes her voice really, really grates and I find her hard to listen to. But this is really worth a try - if you haven't downloaded it, give it a go, you might be surprised. You might still hate it, but it's worth a punt.
