arrgghh! Isn't that always the way?

On a completely random tangent, damnjezebel mentions being in the Dallas area in this AskMe thread. I'm tempted to make sure she's aware of tonight's meetup (I mean, after that Ask, she sounds like a source of interesting conversation), but.... that's not really a good thread to bring it up, is it....?

Um, no. But you could always follow the link in her profile to one of her sites and email her or leave a comment on her journal blog weblog diary thing.

I wonder what wemayfreeze said to her in that thread. I'm not arsed enough to install that metafilthy thing just to find the occasional deleted comment but every once in a while I do get curious.

I didn't ready the whole thread... what happened?

I'm not sure - I was wondering based on her remark here.

Argh. Still waiting for the SatTV guy.

Just got off the phone after nearly two hours and the only thing I found out was:

1. They're not sure why the crew didn't show.
2. They're not even sure how to contact them.
3. They think the problem may be a shortage of receiver boxes, but they're not sure.
4. They will credit the $19.95 "handling fee" for the new box to my account, since they didn't handle it properly.
5. And since they missed the appointment, they'll credit $100 to my account. :)

But I'm still no closer to HD satellite in my living room than I was this morning. :(
