hmm. looks like we are going to have an ice storm here. [More:]

I dislike ice storms. I will go crazy if I lose my power and/or internet.

Here, at least to me, is St. Louis, MO. I don't know if that's the same here as there, but we're having an ice storm here as well.

I think weretable is in Arkasas, although I may be thinking of IRFH. Or both.

I, in the Mid-Atlantic, have had no Winter, and feel terribly guilty for liking it.

I hope you don't loose power, were.

We're having a big rain/ice storm around here. And there's a meetup going on right now.

It is indeed Arkansas. They kept insisting that the ice would be north of my area but now they are saying possibly an inch of ice. The grocery stores would be a nightmare right now. We only occasionally get winter weather, sometimes no more than an inch or two of snow or some sleet a couple times per winter and most people have no fucking clue what to do to prepare for it or how to drive on it. So you have tons of accidents and people buying enough water and food for a month.

I just went outside to get my confused dog back into the sunporch and I noticed that my bamboo in the back yard is already really leaning in every direction.

Not me, rainbaby. I live just south of Seattle, with a 180 degree view of the Puget Sound and Olympics. (And a long, steep driveway full of ^#@&^@^)!!! snow.)

Downtown Seattle, OTOH, has still to see some snow accumulation. I can see a thin white layer on top of buildings, but streets and sidewalks are clear.

But COLD AS HELL!

Ack. Ice be pretty, but no fun. Charge stuff, get blankys & candle/flashlights ready.

I went out in a convertible last weekend. JANUARY, for god sake. I kept thinking, "Please, don't let a polar bear drown while I'm enjoying this."
