It's been a dark, rainy day here in Atlanta. Dark winter days (and nights) always make me dig out
Dusty In Memphis, the album that both defined and basically ended her career (for a while, anyway).

I remember my parents playing this album when I was VERY young, but it wasn't until my late 30s that I came to appreciate it myself. It's strange to read about what a mess the recording sessions actually were (Dusty had an attack of nerves and ended up recording most of the vocals later in New York), because the music sounds so effortless... warm, sultry, comforting.
So anyway, here to chase off your January blahs is the original "Side A" of
Dusty In Memphis.
And yes, I'm aware I've posted about this album before... I go through this at least once every winter. :)
1. Just A Little Lovin'
2. So Much Love
3. Son Of A Preacher Man
4. I Don't Want To Hear It Anymore
5. Don't Forget About Me
6. Breakfast In Bed (my favorite song on the album)
