The MeFi comp is excellent. If you haven't got a copy, you really should do. It's not the crappy "I bought it and only listened to it once" thing. And proceeds go to charity. I think know you should buy a copy.

I'm listening to an advance copy of The Shins Wincing The Night Away and it sucks.

Rattlesnake is a great tune. It was this perfect goddam glue and balance for the album, too—short, stripped down, American country-blues acoustic thing amid all the rockier and electronic things.

Oh my fucking christ, YES. I played Rattlesnake for my sister when I went home for Christmas; I was like, "You gotta hear this, this woman I kinda know, she made this song, it's incredible, GUSH GUSH, etc." Then I had to explain that I don't actually KNOW the person singing, I just sorta know who she is through the internet.

I've also been trying to figure out how to play Rattlesnake on my banjo; Miko, I don't suppose you'd be willing to share chords, would you?

Yeah, I really like the comp. I mean I knew I'd like, but it's even better than I expected. And a handful of songs, miko's and cortex's among them, are exceedingly awesome.

I prefer No Cowgirl.
