Friends comvinced me to see this last night. Do not repeat my mistake. Do not take your kids to repeat my mistake.[More:] It has the really annoying sort of animation where every gesture is accompanied by a sound effect, and the bad guys have voice actors who don't realize that stretching out syllables does not do the same thing as a good megaphone-effect filter, and generally it looked as if someone had turned bad Marty Stu fanfiction into an animated movie with bad CGI, and I want two hours of my life back.
Thanks for the warning. I have two small boys and we go to movies all the time. I'd rather stick needles in my eyes. I don't think I have seen a good kid's movie since Wallace and Grommit and The Incredibles.

I thought Monsters Inc was great for kids and adults. Much like W&G and The Incredibles. But yeah, hard to find those types of movies that span both generations.

I didn't really think anything of this movie but now I for sure won't see it, thanks for saving some bux for me. Now I've gotta put these 2 hours to good use!

I watched a DVD of Doogal the other day, and it was among the biggest pieces of crap I've ever seen in my life.

(Admittedly, I only watched it because it's so high on the IMDB lowest-rated list.)

Monsters Inc was good, forgot about that one.

Doogal sucked. Did you see Barnyard? Utter crap.

WTF is doogal! That one slipped by me. Looks like "Utter crap" indeeeeeeeeed.

Yeah, I had a much better time reading Rotten Tomatoes reviews of Doogal than I did actually watching the movie.

I hadn't heard of Happily, thanks for the warning. I especially like the review "Underwhelming". Heh.

Also, don't bother with Eragon. The book is wonderful (I'm rereading it now for a refresher before I read Eldest) but the movie falls wayyy flat. I wish they had not tried to cram both books into one movie and had not spent money on "name" talent. The money they spent on name actors should have gone into the movie itself. Come to think of it, "Underwhelming" is a good review for Eragon as well.

Oh, don't forget Finding Nemo. Great for adults and kids alike.

"Ice Age" was a great movie, and I liked "Madagascar" as well. Even my husband, who prefers dark movies with lots of blood and gore, likes these movies.
Too bad about "Eragon". I loved the book, though I haven't read "Eldest" yet.

I didn't "get" Ice Age. Didn't find it to be funny. No idea why anyone would. My sister loved it so much she bought the DVDs. Meanwhile, I regret having rented it.

Go figure.

Also, do not teach your kids to spell "convinced" with a mistake. Heh, sorry.
