Delighted with my ... →[More:]... gorillapod. On the recommendation of bunnies, I bought one of these on eBay, via a US seller, had it shipped to Diane's where I picked it up at Christmas, saving about £20 on the UK price.

I didn't realise they come in several sizes, and I got the smallest one, which is meant for compact cameras. I have a big-ish camera, and according to the gorillapod website, should have bought the SLR-sized one, but I've found the little gorillapod to be just fine with my camera, it takes the camera's weight very well and holds it stable in all sorts of weird positions.

So, thank you, I knew I would get good advice from the MeCha hive mind.

They are cool, aren't they, jan? I got one for Xmas, and have tried using it with a Holga- it's just fun play with.

I've been wanting one of those SO bad - I'm planning on getting one for myself for my birthday in May, with saved money from cigarettes. Or so I hope.
