See, this is why I usually throw a party the weekend after New Years. It's low-key and fun and everyone comes because they're bored.

Is it too soon to start planning a Valentine's Day Party?

Bah humbug on Valentines Day. My husband doesn't believe in it, so my gift to him every year is that he doesn't have to celebrate it. It's better then being disappointed. But I hate all the hoopla out of pure jealousy.

Yeah, my students were comatose today. Triple backflips off my desk and nothing. They didn't even blink.

PSH, could you see a movie by yourself or call a friend? My sister went to the movies the other night alone and saw Dreamgirls. People actually clapped during the movie. Jennifer Hudson's perfromance is supposed to be stellar. I don't know if movies are your cup of tea, but it's an idea.

I know what you mean about the end of the holiday blues. No more celebrating, getting back to reality and the mundane. It's depressing.

You should dress Twinkie up in a fancy dress and take her out on the town.
