Wha? How in the heck?

Those are awesome! I wish we had a nifty coffee house here :(

pretty. I wouldn't want to drink those, because it would ruin them.

Those are awesome. Can that be done with hot chocolate and whipped cream, too? MMmmmm.....

These are incredible - I've seen some similar stuff in Seattle just out at a cafe, some of the baristas can be amazingly creative. I once ordered two grandes back to back from one guy because of the stuff like that he'd make on them. Of course, I then gnawed my extremities off and was left for dead by the local constabulary.

Holy Majole! I'm a simple black coffee man myself, but damn, that is pretty damn cool. There's something inspiring about art with a short life span.

There's a great flickr group dedicated to foamy, frothy latte art, too. I can't get enough of it. Lots of bunnies there, too.

BP, please photograph your attempts - that would be so cool! Or so hot, maybe...

LT, you made me laugh out loud, but luckily I wasn't drinking anything at the time. I'm pretending to be sick at work, so it really didn't help my cause to be heard giggling at my desk.

Do they use toothpicks?

dano, there's an 8 part instruction guide here and a quick and dirty one here. It seems they're just poured, which I can't believe. Neither site mentions dragging or pulling, but in the u suc link, it seems part of the bunny and part of the lion were dragged onto the rim of the cup, but I guess they could have been poured like that? I can't really tell. If these are just poured then I'm even more impressed...

Thanks, ico. So the image exists even below the surface? Incredible.
