King Crimson, "Waiting Man". I have liked this song since it came out. Does this make me a pre-emo boy emo boy?
Oh, and that Adrian Belew feedback solo kicks ass.

King Crimson are PROG. Not emo. Go wash your mouth out with soap for suggesting such a thing. And yes, Adrian Belew doth rock. His cover of the Beatles "I'm Down" is killer.

Point taken, jonmc, but I was thinking more of the sensitive "I miss my lover" lyrics which Adrian Belew writes. Musically King Crimson, Adrian Belew, and any project related kick ass on anything emo. Back then there wasn't such a thing as emo, just delicate boys such as I.

Isn't 'I miss my lover' the oldest topic in pop music history though, sensitive boy or no? You could go all the way back to old blues and country records to find prime examples - "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" "Walkin' The Floor Over You" "Come On In My Kitchen" or from a much later era "I Gotta Dance To Keep From Cryin'" all musically far better (like Mr. Belew and King Crimson) than what's called 'emo.'

No, emo is just an excuse to wear really bad clothes.

Bad clothes, and the "Wanna be Donald Trump" hair?

heh. Hang out on my voxblog and I'll hook you up with some emotional music (I'm doing my personal top 300, we're 6 songs in), minus the onion roll hair.

In keeping with Boxing day tradition going back to the 17th century I give you || Arise, gentle deep-dwellers, and o'erthrow the landlubbers!
