I just giftwrapped a huge desk. It's wider than the tree. My son wanted the "jerker" desk from Ikea this year, and I actually managed to wrap it. Now maybe he'll be inspired to clean his room so that he has somewhere to put it tomorrow.

What's the largest thing you've ever gift-wrapped?
My girlfriend's dorm room.

A carpenters workbench, 4 ft x 8 ft, built from scratch by me and a friend for my dad.

After I gave it to him, he made me paint it. WTF Dad??

found dog: i am impressed that you were able to wrap that entire desk. even more impressed because it looks nice in spite of the fact that you must have had to tape several sheets together.

I gift wrapped a BMW R100RS once. It was my combination birthday/Christmas present to myself the year of my first divorce, and I needed a big toy to unwrap by myself, Christmas morning, since my kids wouldn't be around to unwrap any of theirs. It wasn't as much fun as it seemed it might be when I thought it up, but it did fill up a few hours on an otherwise bleak day.

I got my son the Mikael workstation with drawer unit. Seeing as how he's nineteen, we just built it and put it in his room last week.

I did once try to giftwrap a dog, but it was only a puppy.

Puppies are easy if you stick 'em in a ziploc bag first.

The largest thing I ever wrapped was a stereo I bought for my parents. I remember hauling it up the stairs from my room in the basement one Christmas Eve while my family was at church. I almost fell at one point, and I remember thinking grimly that my parents might just find me and their Christmas present smashed up at the bottom of the steps when they got home.

Nice tree, by the way.

All of my cool techie friends have jerkers. Très cool! I wrapped a little tykes car for my daughter, though I did go easy by draping it with fabric and putting a bow on it.
