Mushroom Lasagna recipes please [More:]I want to bring my brother's family a mushroom lasagna. (We have a lot of good kinds of mushrooms this time of year.) Does anyone have a good recipe for it?

It can include meat.

It should not be low cal.

I made the one out of September's (?) Cook's magazine and it turned out too rich and vermouth-y. So I did something wrong there.

Thanks, bunnies!
Jacquilynne at ask.mefi sent me that recipe. I reduced the mushroom sauce - the part with vermouth - a lot. I added butternut squash to every layer. I was a freakin hero - HERO - at the potluck.

In other news, I had a lot to drink this evening. for which I am most truly grateful.

OK, maybe I'm not parsing this correctly but wouldn't a mushroom lasagna simply be a lasagna with lots of mushrooms? I may be presupposing quite a bit here, but does anyone really need a recipe to make lasagna? I mean, the basics are most probably printed right there on the pasta package, but beyond noodles, sauce and cheeses, you can pretty much throw in anything you want. Especially spinach.

There is very little I don't need a recipe for. Also, rendering mushrooms extra flavorful can be an art. And which mushrooms work best? Is it a waste to use chanterelles?

I was hoping for opinions on red sauce vs. no red sauce etc. Oh well.

theora55 maybe I'll just reduce it more, then. It wasn't a bad recipe except for the vermouthy part. Plus I might add meat.

Couldn't find porcinis, so I used chanterelles, but mostly the smaller portobellos and some button. The recipe was pretty involved, with roasted shrooms and shroom sauce and made a mess of the kitchen. The fontina was yummy. Try it again.
