One dozen old mp3s inside. [More:]

I plugged in an old computer last night for the first time in years. On it I found some mp3s from my very brief career (like 2-day) on Napster v1.0 back in January 2001. Here are some of the files I'm most pleased to have back in my collection. Hopefully one or two will please you too.
Sesame Street - The Tomorrow Song / Starting off with some fun songs ... this one is verily metaphysical claptrap with drinking song goodness.
Negativland - Nesbitt's Lime Soda Song / My favorite Negativland song doesn't even sound like a Negativland song.
Dragon Tales - Wiggle / Someday I'll have Devo's Wiggly World on mp3 and life will be better for it. This one will have to do until then.
Bongwater - Dazed & Chinese / This is exactly what you think it is.
Black Sheep - You Can Get With This / I think I joined Napster specifically to get this.
Henry Rollins - The Virtues Of Black Sabbath / I had to include this just to torture jonmc; the over-achieving jock waxes angrily about Iron Man and love.
TSOL - Code Blue / Classic campy ode to necrophilia.
Big Black - Kerosene / Compare the b-movie evil of TSOL to the very real, very mundane evil of this tune.
Opal - Magick Power / Soma, now in convenient aural format.
Kendra Smith - Stars Are In Your Eyes / After Opal broke up Mazzy Star got the stardom, but Kendra Smith put out the great records.
Sham 69 - Hersham Boys / Screw "original sense"; punk didn't exist until music like this was made.
William S Burroughs & Sonic Youth - The Lord's Prayer / SY side projects also came up here recently. Amen.

Kerosene is still one mighty motherfucker of a song. And "Code Blue" made many appearances on my mix tapes over the years (along with TSOL's "Flower's By the Door"). And that Negativeland album is STILL a frequent guest on stereo at the Slack household.

Sweet! Good new tunes a'sharing!

Which reminds me, I've got a zip disk with some old mp3's on it that I need to get off and back into my library. Funny that I can easily fit ten zip disks on a tiny little USB flash drive now, more if I had a bigger flash drive.

DISPROVED: the culinary principle that bacon is always good [more inside]. || The same procedure as last year, Miss Sophie?
