Butchers and candlestick makers, help me! I need to kill something made of wax and make some tapers out of it. Also, Little Nemo Sunday funnies are[More:]

As soon as I get a chance to scan them.
Please elaborate on the killing and making of candles? Do you mean you want to melt down some candles? It's easy to make tapers - you just keep dipping string in wax. 'Splain yerself better so's I can answer better!

Oop, sorry, just kidding. I guess the ol' "Butcher, baker, candlestick maker..." rhyme is out-of-date.

But you should tell us about your candlemaking adventures sometime, iconomy! I haven't made them since I was a kid, but back then I did ice candles and sand candles and all kinds of fun stuff.

1)
Rub-a-dub-dub
Three men in a tub;
And who do you think they be?
The butcher, the baker,
The candlestick maker;
Turn 'em out, knaves all three!

2)
Rub-a-dub-dub
Three men in a tub;
And who do you think they be?
The butcher, the baker,
The candlestick maker;
They all jumped out of a rotten potato,
Turn 'em out, knaves all three!

3)
Rub-a-dub-dub
Three men in a tub,
And how do you think they got there?
The butcher, the baker, the candlestick-maker --
They all jumped out of a rotten potato!
'Twas enough to make a fish [man] stare.

4)
Hey rub-a-dub,
Ho rub-a-dub,
Three maids in a tub,
And who do you think was there?
The butcher, the baker,
The candlestick maker;
And all of them gone to the fair.

The origin seems to be from an old English side-show attraction including three maids in a tub. The rhyme depicts the scurrilous behavior of audience members lacking self-control.

I remember that rhyme, I just didn't know you were kidding. You're weird.

I'm afraid the originals they reproduced for these might have been faded or worn. They're not as sharp as usual.

I don't care, I love them anyway!
