C'mon c'mon c'mon lemme tell ya what I'm all about...→[More:]How did Michael Jackson turn into such a freak? "I Want You Back" and "A.B.C" are fuggin' great songs.
I posit that the greatness continued up to and even a little into Thriller. Off the Wall has some jams on it and Billie Jean is one of the great all time beats/hooks.
I don't know what happened except perhaps to suggest that whatever genetic mental illness time bombs he might have been carrying it seems likely that he never had a real life outside of being a performer.
Wow that was too serious. I'd still fail the breathalyzer though, I seem to have discovered where I hid the Makers Mark.
Hypotheses: Without a Joe Jackson or a Berry Gordy or a Quincy Jones, Mike Jackson quickly spirals out of control. Mike's been crazy all along, but it's only recently so clearly apparent.
(Me, I think Mike's greatness might've lasted into the very early '90s.)
I think that's a very strong part of it Box, he was handled and produced by tough and very smart and sometimes amoral people and more recently he's been cast aside to be dealt with by nuts, low rent scammers and opportunists. Also he's crazier than a sackful of assholes.

Bahrain and maybe trying to edge on England I think.
Heh. I liked bits of MJ's stuff up through Dangerous.
Give in to Me, Remember the Time... and I really think there was another song on that album I liked. I have it somewhere. Along with History (got it free from a radio station though, didn't buy that one), Off the Wall and Thriller.
