Biohazard are a bunch of snitch pussies.

/NYC Hardcore off

Yeah that's a good song, that whole album is really great, the Teenage Fanclub and De La Soul song Fallin' is one of my favorite songs of all time. As I've probably said on metachat six times. Jon you are rightfully partial to the Sir Mix a Lot and Mudhoney joint, right?

There are a bunch of great rap and hiphop songs that use rock successfully (not so much metal or hardcore so your point stands), maybe I'll have to get a little more time free this afternoon and post some.

Hey! That guy was on Oz. I thought he was so scary until I found out his name was Evan. Evans, as a rule, do not intimidate me.

So I'm told, but musically, they work pretty well with Onyx, so it works. Sadly after that album the natural match between hip-hop and metal/hardcore degenerated into Limp Bizkit insipidity. The true pioneers of rap/hard music fusion were these guys. I remember seeing that first video when I was 12 and identifying totally with that little white kid. And as three middle-class guys from Hollis, they were the perfect guys to bridge that gap since they weren't that different from the hescher kids they reached out to. (and that Eddie Martinez riff is one of the most tremendous ever). and then of course there's this guy

jon, I think we could save a lot of time here if you just told us about songs that didn't make you wanna get drunk and blow up buildings.

I saw Ice-T playing live with Body Count about 5 times in the 90s, once opening for Ministry. They always put on one hell of a great show.

All songs make me want to get drunk and blow up buildings. In fact everything makes me want to get drunk and blow up buildings.

And this guy. And when you say Run-DMC, you kinda really mean this guy (not Jay, silly--the other guy) (here's another one of my favorite DJ Double-R productions).

I think you meant to say "Get drunk and post Cheap Trick videos to MeFi"

Heh. Let's let that die already, please apiddydafoo.

(ironically at this very moment I'm listening to "I Want You To Want Me.")

We find that it's best to not do that kind of thing here appidydafoo.

Are we actually this far in this thread with no mention of Anthrax/Public Enemy, or did I miss something?
