But obviously I will be spending my New Year's Day in Orlando Florida this year. Okay, let's run this down (only a handful of the approximately one million bowls):

Florida State vs. UCLA San Francisco Dec. 27, 8 p.m. ESPN HD

Florida State sucks. UCLA is going to end an embarrassing season for FSU with one more humiliation.

Do I cheer for Bama since they are from the SEC or do I remember that they are fucking Alabama and cheer for OK State? Bama just fired their coach and I expect them to finish imploding as OK State whoops 'em but good.

Texas
Rutgers vs. Kansas State Houston Dec. 28, 8 p.m. NFL Network

Well. Rutgers had a good run. And now they are playing in one of the meaningless bowl games that most people will not even watch.

Alamo
Texas vs. Iowa San Antonio Dec. 30, 4:30 p.m. ESPN HD

Hey Texas, weren't you in the national title race earlier this year? Uh, yeah... Well, have fun at the Alamo.

Ha! Miami has to go play on Smurf Field in the potato state. I can hear the whining from here!

Hey Awfulburn, were you not number two in the nation earlier this year? Nebraska isn't that good and they will still win this game.

Arkansas vs. Wisconsin Orlando, Fla. Jan. 1, 1 p.m. ABC HD

IF the Razorbacks can get their players healthy again, Wisconsin is gonna get spanked. Yessir. And I'll be there watching it in sunny Floriduh.

USC vs. Michigan Pasadena, Calif. Jan. 1, 5 p.m. ABC HD

I hate the Southern Cal Condoms. I am not a big Mich fan, but I will cheer for them this time.

Tostitos Fiesta
Boise State vs. Oklahoma Glendale, Ariz. Jan. 1, 8 p.m. FOX

Ha ha ha. I hope Boise spanks Oklahoma.

Allstate Sugar
Notre Dame vs. LSU New Orleans Jan. 3, 8 p.m. FOX

LSU is going to destroy Notre Dame. I mean they are going to demolish them and defecate on their remains. Fantastic.

Tostitos BCS Championship Game
Florida vs. Ohio State Glendale, Ariz. Jan. 8, 8 p.m. FOX

Hope Florida wins just because nobody thinks they can. I'm sick of hearing about Ohio State. Glad to see this happen rather than the stupid rematch.

I'm excited to see USC vs. Michigan. I don't really have a dog in that fight, but an old college prof of mine was a big Mich fan, and I'm sure he's going to be disappointed about not going to the championship game (sounds like someone in their scheduling department should be fired, eh?). But a rematch would have been dumb, and I'll be rooting for the underdog (Florida), as always.

I think FSU needs fresh blood in the coaching staff, from top to bottom. Time will tell. I like all three of the Florida powerhouses to do well enough that they beat up on each other and spread out the good Florida recruits a bit more. Right now with Florida doing really well and with a great new coach, they might start building a Spurrier-like program again.

Speaking of Spurrier, I hope he fails to build a really successful program at South Carolina. I hated it when he was at Florida. A pretty good SEC team could go into the swamp and get 70 points put on them.

Never really got into the whole Florida football scene when I was there (it was the Zook years, and they need to quit with the Spurrierwanking already), but yay.

Florida vs. Michigan would have been awesome - my department lost its chair to them a few years ago.

I have been to Florida nearly every year of my life, but they don't play much football in the Panhandle.
