We're having a stupid debate. If one were to use "netflix" as the term for a video rented from NetFlix, which is the best plural form?

My best friend insists on using netflixes. I say netflixen is better.
Netflii.

The plural of netflix is netflix.

Ooh, I like netflii.

Netflix is the plural. Of Netflick.

Weeeeeel, I agree with mike, but I like the sound of netflixen. Sounds festive. Reindeerish.

Netflices. Like vertex -> vertices. See also, vortex, cortex.

Or what mike said.

without reading ahead, the first thing that popped into my mind was "netflixen," so I agree with you.

And, since I've had the quote in my head for the past 2 days:

Aww, stupid debates need the most love.

Netflickies!

Why would you even do this in the first place?

By which I mean, what does a netflix specific term convey that "DVD" or "rental" doesn't?
posted by cmonkey 02 December | 13:07
netfleece

I suppose it would convey that, on the one hand, one isn't using Blockbuster, and, on the other hand, that one isn't using Greencine.

And it's probably one of those aspirin/kleenex/xerox/ipod mindshare things, too.

I say Netflixes, but like Netflixen better and will try to start saying it.

May I suggest: NETSFLIX...

Yeah, netflix is already plural, so what's the point. Would you call movies rented "Tom's Videos" "Tom's videosen"?

Other then that, I have to say I Like wendell's "Nets Flix" the best.
