Thanksgiving in Colorado I had a nice visit, saw lots of mule deer, and my mother in law tried to poison us.[More:]

She left the entire Thanksgiving dinner out overnight and then reheated and served it the next freaking day.

My husband and son foolishly partook. I stuck to pie. First, mom in law got sick and missed our trip to Colorado Springs for dinner with son's sponsor family and his return to the Blue Soo (USAFA.) Then father in law had a happy night puking. Then after a plane ride back home, hubby got the explosive squirts, with the headache from hell and other miseries. I called my son (it was his birthday) and he had the same thing, and wound up missing two days of school) Me? I guess I got it by osmosis as the only way to quell MY nausea was to stay totally still, and eat or drink NOTHING which guaranteed that I, too would have the headache from Hell.

We are all better now.

I love my mother in law, though. Sweet lady. We ate out a LOT while there. For that, I am truly thankful.
Make that Blue Zoo. Yikes.

Sounds like dinner at my grandmother's house. I wouldn't let my kid eat anything but rolls. Welcome back and I'm glad you survived without permanent damage.

That story cracked me up. Sorry y'all were sick, though!

Great story. Sorry about all your reactions, though. What is it with some people? I had a customer tell me that she always leaves her Thanksgiving turkey (frozen or not) outside until the holiday. No refrigeration. Yikes.
