I just watched Clerks 2. (It was Pip's b-day presented to me). I'm a little verklempt. Randal is still my hero. And I knew Jay & Silent Bob would come through. After we take out the garbage we're gonna watch the original again.

I liked the first movie but have since found myself disenfranchised with Kevin Smith. Or maybe I'm just generally disenfranchised.

Clerks 2 is the only Smith film I haven't seen. In the UK his films tend to be at cinemas for no more than a week and then go straight off again. DVD releases are always months later than the American ones, although I could easily pick up Clerks 2 on import, I just don't feel an urge to. Amy was the last thing he did that I really liked.

Weird, I watched it last night too, for the first time - and hated it. I love the first Clerks but the second one? Gack. I was so disappointed.
