(truth be told, I like some of his songs, and she's actually funnier and way more self-aware than she gets credit for. I'm willing to bet they just like outside sex too much to stay together)
Kinda. Some of his stuff ("Cowboy" "American Badass") was fun in a bar rock sort of way and "Wasting Time" even showed some wit and originality (lyrically speaking), but he fell off big time real quick.
I've met him several times (and her twice) through some family relationships. Bob Ritchie is a very honest, upfront guy whose a great dad to his son. He's close with his parents and the Kid Rock persona is exactly that, a persona he puts on - it's just business. He's funny and articulate and values his friends and family above everything else.
His relationship with Pam tears him up, I know its easy to pick on them, but this isn't easy for him (I don't know where Pam's head is except up her own ass most of the time).
He's made quite a few mistakes and will continue to make them, but he's responsible about them and like any human, I'm willing to forgive a certain amount of stupidity for the sake of allowing him to be a man about it.
I once saw an interview with him where he talked about meeting a kid with a Kid Rock tattoo. He chastised him for his lack of foresight, saying that there was a very good chance that Kid Rock wouldn't be considered very cool for very long and that he'd be stuck with the equivalent of a Vanilla Ice tattoo in a few years.
TPS, I was rooting for them, too. I dunno, I liked her in that "Stacked" show, and she never seems to take herself seriously. And for some reason, I kinda liked him. I'm always hoping for true love, anyway.
