Another mixed update I'm sorry for turning this into "gaspode's blog of depression" but this will be the last of it.→[More:]Friend Brian of earlier post is due to head home soon, safe, with nearly all of his limbs. Thank you all for your kind words. In a move that pretty much makes me feel like Job getting shat on, childhood friend of my husband's got hit on Thanksgiving night by a drunk driver. He died yesterday. His name? Brian. This has been a shitty weekened.

sorry you have been so sad, gaspode. I hope nearly all of his limbs means better than it really does. Condolences for mr gaspode's friend. Also, don't worry about making these posts. You are a loved member. Many many hugs.

That's so horrible, I don't really know what to say other than my thoughts are with you and that there must be some small sense of relief that you didn't lose two friends.

Wow... such a shock. Just like that. So sorry, 'pode. A colleague's brother died in a car accident last year, too. There just aren't words.

Glad the other Brian's coming home; I missed the first thread, I'm afraid. You're a good and caring friend.

Fuck. The driver who killed Brian blew a 0.32.

We usually always spend Christmas Day with their family. I met Brian's dad before I met my father-in-law -- the two families grew up together, lived next door to each other.
