Well, when Rock Steady put links to his and his honey's pictures, I wanted to do the same. But I didn't have my favorite picture of her from those days scanned in, and my scanner was messed up. Well I finally got it back on line. So here we are (circa 1983):

One good thing about meeting at a Metafilter meetup is there being lots of photographic evidence.

This isn't the night we met, but it's the night things started moving toward dating (we count this date as our anniversary, though that's not really true):

This was taken in May 2004, about ten days after George and I met for the first time, having met online three years earlier. neither of us could quite believe what we had found in one another.

This is me and the Mr. around the time we met. I originally wasn't his type, he preferred slender girls. But once we met, it was an instantenous click. That was over seven years ago, four years since we married. I'm sorry I missed the original thread, as I love these stories!

(p.s. the mr. and i met through the newspaper personals, a blind date. and like some stated through the original thread, i became a shameless hussy the day we met. we did talk for a week for hours every day before meeting in person. the first thing he said to me was "Well, you said you were cute, but you never said you were beautiful." had me at hello.)
