Wow, this is a film? I'm looking on the Criterion site and it says "all six episodes", so was a TV series or something? Looks like something I'd enjoy.

Yeah it was a tv show back... what 10 years ago? Some are better than others. Jim Jarmusch, & Tom Waits are the best episodes, but having said that the whole series is amusing.
