The woolsucker has done it again. My cat, Rupert, is at the vet again due to ingestion of a foreign body. It's exactly the same as last time (which was about 5-6 months ago), except this time I knew what was going on and got him to the vet right away. He's getting checked out right now and will probably have to have surgery. Please think good thoughts for him.
Poor kitty! Scritching-behind-the-ear good thoughts for Rupert.

Poor little guy is probably just worried about his fibre intake.

Hope he comes through this (and/or it comes through him) as quickly and painlessly as possible.

That's a pretty swell name for a feline, best wishes to him and his loving family.

Eej, I heart you.

Tests revealed that Rupert had nothing in his digestive tract. So either he threw it up or pooped it out at some point, and was just feeling poorly for a few hours afterwards, or else it's just a random coincidence that he got sick around the same time that his kong was found with a missing piece. In any case, I brought him home, getting out with only a high three-figure bill for all the testing, and he happily ate dinner, and so far has kept it down.

I also got the number of a highly-recommended, highly-qualified, non-woo-woo kitty shrink who can maybe help me find some ways to alleviate his chewing issues.

He has a kitty kong? I thought those were only for dogs (excuse my ignorance). I'm glad he's much better. I'm a bit rusty on his previous exploits...does he actually suck wool (or fabric, etc.)? One of my aunts had a cat who would suck on your clothes while kneading-it had something to do with not being able to suck all that long as a kitten. Kind of like a kid attatched to a pacifier, or something.

I do not normally indulge my craving for ice cream but ... || I'm going to The Big Rock Candy Mountain, won't you join me? (mp3)
