Tobacco-free Day 3 Uuuuuuururrrrhghghghg.[More:]

Actually, I'm playing hooky today and so is my roommate. We both seem to have colds - my symptoms started on the weekend and I thought they were weird after-effects from the flu shot, but now I realize that I am sick.

What do you do when you call in sick? We watched Shawshank Redemption and ate bagels. I was worried being home would tempt me to smoke, because I would have time on my hands, but feeling like crap has its benefits as I have no desire to smoke at all due to the coughing and the sniffling and such.
It's kind of a blessing. The cold is masking withdrawal symptoms! Day 3 is typically the worst single day of quitting, and you get to ignore all that and concentrate on the cold. Yay.

When I'm sick? Geez, I haven't been sick in ages. I make curried chicken soup, read, watch TV, and sleep.

High school boys everywhere know how to pass the time while staying home sick. Masturbate, of course!

Yes, the best time to kick that horrible life draining habit is when your upper respiratory system is infected with a horrible life draining illness. Keep it up and don't look back on your smoke filled ways, never again seek to taste the pain of agonizingly slow suicide.

Hey, I called in "sick" today, too!

I did a lot of extra sleeping. I made oatmeal cookies. I'm watching Sex and the City. I'm doing a lemon peel-off mask. I have a big pile of magazines to read for the 12th time.

I'm going to The Big Rock Candy Mountain, won't you join me? (mp3) || Best issue-oriented slogans ever...
