Have any of y'all ever used Flagrant Disregard's Yahoo widget for uploading pics to Flickr? I tried it today and every time, it would only upload about a third to one half of the pics I queued up for upload- the rest just didn't go through. (But they vanished from the queue.) Has anybody else made it work?
I haven't, but I use the Flickr uploader that I downloaded from the Flickr website. Works really well.

Derail: "y'all". I love that Southern accent.

I use the Uploadr, too, Jan, but I like that the widget lets you title them before they're uploaded. Well, it would if it worked, anyway. :)

BP, have you tried jUploadr? It's cross-platform (Java) and has a lot of great features. I use that on my Windows machine at work. On my Mac I use 1001, it's got the most features of any uploader I've seen.

I've downloaded the jUploadr zip file, tommasz. Now what do I do with it? Where do I unzip it to?

Jan, if you're on Windows you can just create a directory in your Program Files directory and unzip it there. You can then click on the .BAT file to run it or set up an alias somewhere else (like the Desktop). You have to have Java, of course.

Unfortunately the Windows version opens a terminal Window along with the application but you can ignore it (more FAQ stuff here).

Ah, thanks.

Flickr Uploadr is good. For the Mac there's also the really cool FlickrExport for both iPhoto and Aperature.

I've had the same sort of problem (on the mac). Usually uploading a different picture and then re-uploading the one it stuck on clears it. My feeling is that it's an issue at the flickr end, but that's not neccassarily so.

Interesting, seanyboy... I'll give that a try. (And next time I won't type in titles and descriptions for a dozen-plus pics BEFORE making sure the upload works. Argh.)
