Modern American Culture has come under fire for being coarse, vulgar, obsessed with violence and sensationalism. However, for my money we reaced a pinnacle of bizarre tastelessness with this 1964 gem. I give you Strangler in The Night by Albert DeSalvo. [More:]

For the uninitiated. Obvioulsy, this isn't the real DeSalvo on this track (rumor has it it may be reporter Dick Levitan), but still..good grief
