I own a Homicide t-shirt and consider it one of my all time favorite shows. Secor's character vaguely flirted with bisexuality but there was nothing made explicit. The idea of a queer TV cop is good, but it didn't really fit well with his character as written and it was poorly executed, IMHO. That along with the arrival of 'pretty' characters like Falzone & Ballard hastened the shows decline, if you ask me.
The article makes it sound like it was totally evident, but I have no recollection of that at all. And I certainly never thought the Bayliss/Pendleton relationship had any sexual overtones. I need to rent the DVDs, I guess.
It was an explicit sub-plot late in the series run, jrossi4r. We have (almost?) the entire series on DVD, so I could look it up for you sometime if you like.
I loved all the characters, but I had an odd fondness for Crosetti. I remember the seen where he half-strips to show Ghiardello his bullet wounds and found it incredibly poignant an insightful, showing how this lumpy bald guy in mall clothes is sometimes what a hero looks like.
I remember that, Mats, I have to believe that was the first time sex in a coffin was ever mentioned on TV. Homicide was a "can't miss" show around here.

That probably explains it. I stopped following it closely toward the end. It was such a great show. I can't believe the cast didn't go on to do more. They were sterling.
I also can't believe that Daniel has turned out to be the second craziest Baldwin.
Love, love, love this show... Jon and I even went on a pilgrimage to Baltimore and took pictures in front of the "precinct" and had a beer at the "Waterfront."
I was more a Kellerman gal myself, though I don't generally go for blondes. But Kellerman was teh hawt.
(The series got disappointingly sucky towards the end, but we're forgiving of our favorites, eh?)
My favorite show. Yes, Secor's character was bisexual. He dated men on the show. I'm not sure what jonmc means by it not being explicit, unless he meant we never actually saw him having sex with a man.
