Is it just me, or hasn't it been a very beatiful fall season this year? →[More:]
I look at the few (sadly only 5-6) trees I pass on my daily walk to work and I find them exceptionally beautiful this season. I look at the 3 trees in the broad-mid-way outside my office window and I realize I have never seen such beautiful red and yellow foliage on them before...

It is probably (but what do I know?) due to the few days of extra-cold in the beginning of the season and the very warm days afterwards that allowed the trees to keep their foliage that long and let it change gradually to yellows and reds. I love red.

Has anyone else noticed it? Is it just here? Is it everywhere? Am I daydreaming again?

I so want to run outside now...

It wasn't so hot out here. We didn't get a good early freeze to crank the color factor. Instead they just turned brown/yellow and fell off.

It was stunning. I just love autumn. The cider! The hay rides! The corn mazes! The pumpkin carving! I could never live somewhere where the seasons didn't change. It's like my body needs the transition every 3 months.

I think the fall colors were better here (at least in places) than in the last few years. But I didn't get out to enjoy them much. Bleh. Maybe next year.

I agree, I think the foliage was more brilliant this year than last. I remember last October as raining all the time, so perhaps it ruined the leaves sooner. I love the fall. I love driving down a road and watching the dry leaves fall and breeze around me. Ahhh, autumn.
