Hopefully, a happy ending. I feared the worst for this deer, but it looks as if it's going to be ok. Well, at least until next week, when deer hunting season begins.

Aw, man. Six days! Nightmarish. And yes - let's hope that now he proves as good at evading the hunters' bullets as he was the rescuers' tranquilizer darts.

Well, it sounds like he's a deer that was born this Spring so I don't think he's old enough to be hunted this year.

Does anyone here know anything about deer? My friend and I were driving in northern New Jersey on November 7th, and we saw a spotted fawn. Isn't it too late for fawns? Will it survive the winter? I wished I had my camera in hand!!
