NYC Mechazens: Can you recommend any good restaurants within walking distance of Penn Station? No place too expensive, or too difficult to get a table at on a Saturday evening. Bonus points for a really good Jewish deli-type restaurant.[More:]Any recommendations are much appreciated.
Ben's Kosher is at 209 w 38th--and according to their website is open until 9. I went to Stout at 133 w 33rd on a concert night and was able to get a table right away, but I don't remember if it was also a weekend night.

Bens also. it's like a stone-throw from Penn station. it's HUGE, with a huge menu, very cheap, and easy to get a table.

but the food is average (you get what you pay for). i stick to vegetarian stuff like knishes, and they were always fine.

What is the Ben's website? No luck googling for it.

Nevermind, I found it. That place looks perfect, thank you!

Not to be pushy, but, for the love of pastrami, get in a cab (if you don't like the subway) and go to Katz's in the lower east side (205 East Houston Street). Not cheap, cheap, but not expensive either. And their sandwiches are the size of your head. I recommend the pastrami or corned beef, and the matzoh ball soup (not as good as my mom's, but a close second).
