jon, I've got 4 or 5 boots of Exile outtakes, and I'm downloading these. It would seem we agree:

and Joe's Garage should warm the heart of anybody who's ever hung around with a band. and Hot Rats features some astounding playing.

That stuff's too wanky for me, but WOIIFtM's damn near a masterpiece. I've got to run right noow, otherwise I'd love to pull it out right now and analyze the hell out of it.

As for the Exile outtakes you linked to: probably as good of quality as you're going to find. I've got the same recordings + a bunch more from the same boot/sessions somewhere. If I have time later, I'll dig them out.

heh. actually "Talk Dirty To Me," is one of my fave 'guilty pleasure' songs (I hate that term though). If they had disappeared after that, they'd be fondly remembered, but they weren't that smart.

I'm with jon on the "Talk Dirty To Me" trip. I don't wanna get all snobby on Poison, but "Unskinny Bop", puh-leaze. That song is really horrible.

That said, I really never understood the fuss about "Exile". Perhaps it's time to give it another listen. But I will say that "Tumbling Dice" fuckin' rules.

I'm not getting any downloads, just small files with no music involved. Looks like I'm off to G2P.org to see if I can find them that way. Or I'll have to dust off Limewire and go that route. I shall not be denied now.
