NYC ppl. If I could, I would go to the Gowanus Yacht Club with you guys. I would bring mrs. chewy, and I would toast quonsar's new gig and jonmc and Pips in person with whatever scoundrel sludge beverage desired. And I would fly mudpuppie and the Left Coasters in, and drag BP and Perfect Teeth mike and mgl and dano too, and geckodundee and the DownUnders and whoever else wanted to come play, and we could all be stupefied barflys for a few hours. That is all.

The closest thing we have to the yacht club here is Sadlack's. Which is currently undergoing um, improvements. They discovered many gallons of beers had been sacrificed to the inner walls of the establishment for X number of years. After inaccurately accusing their faithful barstaff of swiping beers, they were forgiven and a very overdue reopening will happen sometime.

I like the Gowanus Yacht Club, although it's not near the Gowanus (probably a good thing, the good ole G is the only body of water that's 70% guns, they say). I just like saying Gowanus, I like driving by the Gowanus and I like a good stiff drink. Someday perhaps... Hell I bought a lottery ticket, so if I win the whole trip's on me.
