I don't pronounce them. I usually just type them. Occasionally, I'll belch them in moments of exuberance.

To avoid any confusion over username pronunciation, I simply calculate the md5 hash of each person's username and mentally associate it with their name.

For example, instead of wondering whether "kyleg" is "Kie-leg" or "Kyle G", I just think of him as "685a49cde61c139ea22ccefa9bb3e83a". It's a great system.

If I say MeChaZens, I pronounce it with a hard C (like mechanisms) but if I just say MeCha, I pronounce it "mee-cha".

Huh.

I've apparently been mispronouncing oh-chee-blue. And I don't think I get see-or-us or eye-dee-teck-er right either.

Then, I say it (in my head at least):

Scurious (like spurious, even though it's not spelled that way)
Oach-i-blue (like Oak, but with a ch)
danf (like specklet!)
Eye-key-you-two
Jay-rossi (then I trail off)
Eye-Con-Oh-Mee
eye duh ker (Again, even though that's clearly wrong)
And, Mike 9 3 3 2 (even though it ends in 22!)

For me, it's intent was rich@. But I like the reeeshaw that seems to be out there. That's cool.
