All right, you Smallville geeks... Who thinks that this season of Smallville is finally what you wanted to see?[More:]
Lex is finally becoming a total bastard (and Michael Rosenbaum still looks really good bald). Clark finally has some balls, finally. Lana's sleeping with serpents and is pretty wicked in her own right. Lois is still a cow, but maybe there's possibility there. Chloe is, well, still the same. Jimmy had better get burned soon, as the "fresh-faced-kid" thing is old. Lionel Luthor - jeez, why don't he start knifing people already? You can tell he wants to.... or at least pull the ace out of his sleeve, as his son's getting to be more of an evil bastard than he ever was. Green Arrow - ok, great, it's the start of the Justice League. GA still has a lame-o costume, but a good attitude.
Whatever. I'm now really enjoying what their doing with the show. I hope they don't sacrifice small character developments for entire shows, what seems to be par for the course in series like this. (Babylon 5 excepted.)
hmmm -their +they're

I don't watch Smallville, but next time you talk to elizard can you tell her I miss her and wish her well? Thanks!

You betcha, Eide... she's on Galiano, and on dial-up, and busy with things, thus the lack of postings on her part. I believe she's coming to Vancouver in-around the 8th, so I'll be sure to tell her you say 'Hi'. She's mentioned in phone calls that she misses everyone a lot and wishes them well.

I watched it last night for the first time in about a year. Still these long, padded scenes full of presumably significant pauses in which mascara'd and lip-gloss'd Tom Weller doesn't say much in his gooey-eyed faux-teen thirtysomething way (BTW, is Tiger Beat still being published?), which is the best they can do because he can't freaking act. Michael Rosenbaum can but they give him such unbelievably stupid lines you have to give him credit for not imploding from humilation. And how about that deus-ex-machina denouement, eh? Point the crystal at the bad guy because it sucks up bad. Genius. Followed by another 15 minutes of dead slow dialogue and significant pauses. And apparently Clark has decided to either shit or get off the pot on some universe-shattering matter. But, y'know, not now. Later.

All true, George. I look at it as a comic book - all pointless exposition and special effects, but some kind of weird torture that you keep going back to. At least, I suppose, it's not costing me $2.00 an issue, or whatever DC's gouging for their comics these days.

But, y'know, not now. Later.

Apparently they do things slower in Kansas. They also gaze out to the horizon a lot, too. Yep.
