It's Day One of NaNoWriMo! Is anyone else doing this? So far I've written 595 words, which is exactly 595 more words than I wrote last year. (I am Sister Havana on the site if anyone wants to add me as a writing buddy. : ))
Oy. I'd decided I'd do this, but forgot it was the first of November already, and committed my evening to the drinking of whisky rather than the writing of words. Tomorrow, that's when I'll shine. Tomorrow, tomorrow.

I wish I could give it another try but I would be defeated by tomorrow. There's just enough hours in my day to add in a 50K novel.

A woman I work with is just about to have her first sci-fi-fantasy novel published. I'm SO envious, yet too lazy/untalented/lacking in creativity to do anything about writing something myself.

I did this 5 years ago -- you will feel so COOL when you get it done. Go sisterhavana!!

I think I signed up, but I haven't activated myself yet or something. Tonight!

I'm in. My current count is 2,137, but I'm not sure that any of that mass of letters is cohesive enough to establish a novel's foundation.
