Batman Begins →[More:]

I just watched it again. I like it at least as well as the first Keaton Batman, the previous high-water mark of the series. The choice for Bruce Wayne's romantic interest was the only major failing. I remember wondering who was smoking crack when they cast Qui Gon as Ras, but it worked.

I hope the sequel does not disappoint.

The Magical Ascientific Water Thingy at the end was the only thing about Batman Begins that pissed me off.

I used to be kinda pissy about the fact that Liam Neeeeeson turned out to be Ras in the end (almost as pissy as I was when I found out TOM CRUISE was the Last SAMURAI!), but I'm over it.

I flat out loved the movie, seeing it in IMAX twice. That said, I really could have lived without the Rachael Dawes character, not because I have anything against Katie Holmes, rather I felt the writing for that character was the biggest weak spot in the script. Otherwise, it managed to walk the fine line of a serious movie, with just enough of the Comic Book goofiness.

The most pleasant surprise was how they did the character of Jim Gordon, Gary Oldman was perfect. Especially the last scene of the film.

And as much as I love Tim Burton and his Batman movies, I have to say Batman Begins dusts the Burton Batman.

Joel Schumacher can, as always, go to hell.

I thought christian bale did a terrible overacting job as batman. You can chalk that up to "comic book goofiness" but I just thought it was bad. Story was pretty flat and any attempts of anything other than a lame action movie plot were predictable and yawn-worthy.

Oh yeah, and if I remember correctly they tried to work Ra's Al Ghul into bruce waynes parents getting killed. wtf was that bs?
