fenriq, I can't help I am afraid. I bought my first pumpkin ever two days ago. I do not know how to carve it, how to clean it, or what to do with the guts off it. I will try it tho' tomorrow for the kids' sake. Oh! my poor kids, such a crude mother they got...

Dang, I took pictures the other day of the carving fesitivities but when my computer died, it took them all hostage prior to my being able to upload them.

carmina, get a kit from Long's and they'll have the tools and directions to get into the slime. Its quite fun!

I (usually) don't carve pumpkins, I carve other stuff.

I did it!!! woohoo! I carved the damn thing, without injuring myself or the kids, even. Can't say about the pumpkin. I'll post pics tomorrow. I will have to humbly admit it did come out alright.

Then, we went to trick-or-treat and a party. Boy, I am exhausted. It must have been all the candy. However, I think my kids are traumatized by all the ghoulish/spooky outfits the older kids were wearing. I'spose you all went through this, maybe it will be better next year...
