Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,
I’ll go out and dig some worms;
Long thin skinny ones;
Big fat juicy ones,
See how they wriggle and squirm.
Bite their heads off,
Suck their juice out,
Throw their skins away,
Nobody knows how much I thrive
On worms three times a day.
Long thin skinny ones slip down easily,
Big fat juicy ones stick;
Hold your head back,
Squeeze their tail,
And their juice just goes drip, drip.
Here's a childhood favourite, with huge Eeeeew factor.
Yellow pus mustard
Green snot pie
All mixed together
With a dead dog's eye.
If you like it
Spread it on thick
And drink it down
With a cup of cold sick.
What are you trying to do to me, essexjan!
*grabs nausea lollipop*
Most of my favorites have been taken here and in the Mefi thread. How about "There Was An Old Lady" (it has a wriggly spider and she dies at the end)? Or Dem Bones (ankle bone's connected to the foot bone)?
I bet my young 'un would have good suggestions. I'll ask her as soon as she wakes up from her nap.
From small rossi:
(To the tune of I'm a Little Tea Pot)
I'm a little owl
Look at me
I like to sit way up
high in a tree
When darkness comes and day is through
You might hear me say Hoo-Hoo
(To the tune of Five Little Monkeys)
Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate
One said, "Oh my it's getting late"
The second one said, "There are witches in the air."
The third one said, "We don't care"
The fourth one said, "Let's have some fun!"
The fifth one said, "Let's run, run, run!"
Then "Whoosh!" went the wind and out went the light and the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
The pumpkin one has corresponding motions that aren't too hard to figure out. (And thanks for this. She NEVER would have sung these for me if I hadn't appealed to her expertise.)
Wow -- that is so cool, jrossi. Glad you had that moment.
That second song, five little pumpkins? My little brother learned that in his 2nd grade music class, oh, 25 years ago. He LOVED that song. I remember him singing it adorably and with great gusto. Thanks to you and your daughter for the return of that memory.
