Well, usually Getting The Jesus is an irony shield of colossal proportions. Not my sister, though, who has a famously ironic and sly sense of humor. But maybe it takes an unusually strong sense of self (which she has) to submit to Jesus and still, you know, be yourself. I suspect most people get religion fanatically as a form of personality transplant hoping they'll be more popular.
