Moo to the Bunnies! I love Val Kilmer and Cows. I've been very busy with much of it is on the downlow both at work and at home. I can say this: if anyone is going to a certain adaptive path seminar in nyc next week, I'll be there.
I have such fond memories of this movie! I saw it at age 17 with my then boyfriend at about three in the morning. We nearly killed ourselves laughing and it served as a mine of in jokes for years.
"My name is Hilary. It means, 'One whose breasts defy gravity.'"
The movie is funny enough, but Kilmer, along with Johnny Depp and River Phoenix is one of those actors who I don't get and who irks me in unfathomable ways. And all three of them are responsible for convincing a generation that being girlishly pretty and acting mildly autistic is what it takes to be a male screen icon.
River's dead which means I'll never know what kind of an actor he might've been as an adult, but of the three I liked him most. Depp I forgive for his earlier years mostly because he's done some oustanding acting as an adult (he didn't seem so girlishly pretty or autistic in Donnie Brasco for instance). Kilmer's a goof, even when he tries to act tough, I'll grant you that. Top Secret! and Real Genius are Genius in part because of this.

PS. That polycardcortexinterrobangtaziconomyspinspin thing is neat. Free time is over...miss y'all.
The name River "That's not easy what I just did!" Phoenix always reminds me of one of my favorite underrated movies, Sneakers. Great cast. (Redford! Poitier! Kingsley! McDonnell! Aykroyd! Strathairn! Phoenix! Darth Vader!) See it if you ain't.
I love the idea of Ed Wood, but his (depp's) acting style is too, 'look ma, I'm acting!' for my taste. Plus, his looks are like I said, too smooth-faced and pretty. I like my male stars craggy and surly.
I can see that. I generally am not a fan of pretty guys myself. (I want a man who can protect me from a bear attack.) Yet, I love Depp and don't find him the least bit hammy. His interactions with Martin Landau in that movie are incredible.
